What Extract Audio From Video does

Extract Audio From Video saves the soundtrack of a clip as a separate audio file. Preview the video to hear the track, then export.

Copy keeps the original audio bitstream in an M4A when the codec allows it. MP3, WAV, M4A (AAC), and OGG re-encode for wider compatibility.

How to use it

  1. Select Choose video and play the preview to hear the soundtrack.
  2. Pick Save as: Copy, MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG.
  3. Select Extract audio, wait for progress, then Download.

Formats and limits

  • Opens common video files the picker allows.
  • Copy outputs M4A with the original audio codec when remuxing works. Otherwise choose a re-encode format.

Settings explained

Save as
Copy avoids re-encoding. MP3, WAV, M4A, and OGG decode and encode the audio track.

FAQ

Copy failed. What now?

Some codecs cannot sit in an M4A container. Switch to MP3, WAV, M4A (AAC), or OGG and extract again.
