What Favicon Generator does

Favicon Generator builds a full favicon and app icon set from one image or SVG: favicon.ico at 16, 32, and 48 pixels, PNG icons at 180, 192, and 512, and a maskable 512 icon with safe padding.

How to use it

  1. Select Choose image or SVG and pick a PNG, JPG, WEBP, or SVG file.
  2. Optional: turn on a solid background color for icons that need one.
  3. Review the real-size previews and the browser tab mockup.
  4. Copy the HTML tags and web manifest snippet if you need them.
  5. Select Download favicon zip.

Formats and limits

  • Input: PNG, JPG, WEBP, or SVG.
  • Output: a zip with favicon.ico, PNG icons, icon-512-maskable.png, site.webmanifest, and html-tags.txt.

Settings explained

Solid background
Fills the square behind the artwork. Maskable icons use white when no background is set.
Maskable padding
The maskable icon keeps artwork in the center 80 percent so Android masks do not clip it.
