What EXIF Viewer and Remover does

EXIF Viewer and Remover shows photo metadata grouped by type and warns when a GPS location is present. Remove metadata from one or many images. For JPG, removal is lossless: APP and comment blocks are dropped without re-encoding the picture.

How to use it

  1. Select Choose images and pick one or more JPG, PNG, or WEBP files.
  2. Review the grouped metadata. A GPS warning appears when location tags are present.
  3. For batches, click a file name to inspect it.
  4. Select Download cleaned file, or Download cleaned zip for many files.

Formats and limits

  • Input: JPG, PNG, or WEBP.
  • Output: same format, named after the source with -no-exif. Batches are a zip.

Settings explained

Lossless JPG
JPEG metadata lives in APP and COM marker segments. Those segments are removed; the compressed image data is copied as-is.
PNG and WEBP
PNG drops eXIf, text, and time chunks. WEBP drops EXIF and XMP chunks.

Privacy

Reading and stripping stay in this tab. Nothing is uploaded. GPS warnings help you notice location data before sharing.

FAQ

Will stripping change how the photo looks?

For JPG the pixels are not re-encoded. Orientation and color profile tags may be removed, so some viewers may display rotation differently afterward.
