What Image Compare does

Image Compare shows two images side by side, with a wipe slider, or as a difference map that highlights and counts changed pixels. Zoom and pan stay synced.

How to use it

  1. Select Choose before and Choose after with JPG, PNG, or WEBP files.
  2. Pick Side by side, Slider, or Difference.
  3. Use Zoom and Pan to inspect details. They apply to every view.
  4. In Difference, adjust the threshold and optionally download the highlight PNG.

Formats and limits

  • Input: two JPG, PNG, or WEBP images (different sizes are letterboxed to a shared frame).
  • Output: optional difference PNG named after the before file with -diff.

Settings explained

Difference threshold
Pixels whose max channel delta exceeds this value count as changed and light up magenta.
Synced zoom and pan
One zoom and pan control set moves every compare view together.

Why are my images padded?

Different sizes are letterboxed onto a shared canvas so the slider and difference views line up.
