What Audio Fade In and Out does

Audio Fade In and Out adds fade-in and fade-out envelopes to a track. Choose lengths and a curve shape, preview with Web Audio, and export locally.

The waveform shows faded regions in purple and draws the gain envelope in pink.

How to use it

  1. Choose an audio file. The waveform appears with default fades.
  2. Set fade-in and fade-out lengths and pick a curve.
  3. Play preview to hear the envelope.
  4. Choose MP3 or WAV and Apply and export.

  • Exports MP3 or WAV.

Settings explained

Fade in / Fade out
Length of each fade in seconds. Overlapping fades are scaled to fit.
Curve
Linear, exponential, or logarithmic shape for both fades.

FAQ

Do overlapping fades clip each other?

If fade-in plus fade-out is longer than the track, both sides are scaled proportionally so they meet in the middle.
