What Video Censor and Blur does

Video Censor and Blur hides parts of a clip with solid bars, blur, or pixelate boxes. Boxes can be limited to a time range and moved between a start and end position.

The preview approximates the look with CSS. Export applies the effect with ffmpeg filters in this tab.

How to use it

  1. Select Choose video, then Add box and place it over the subject.
  2. Pick solid, blur, or pixelate. Set the time range on the overlay editor.
  3. Optional: move the box and select Set end position so it follows motion.
  4. Select Apply censor, then download the MP4.

Formats and limits

  • Opens common video files the picker allows.
  • Exports an H.264 MP4. Audio is copied when present.

FAQ

Why does the preview look different from the export?

Preview uses CSS approximations. Export uses ffmpeg crop, blur, and scale filters for the final look.
