What Subtitle Converter and Shifter does

Subtitle Converter and Shifter converts between SRT and VTT, shifts all cues by an offset, or fixes linear drift using two reference cues.

Optionally load a video to preview the shifted cues. Processing is text only and stays in this tab.

How to use it

  1. Choose an SRT or VTT file.
  2. Pick the output format and adjust Shift all cues if needed.
  3. To fix drift, enter two cue numbers and the times they should start, then Apply drift fix.
  4. Optional: choose a preview video and scrub to check timing.
  5. Save the converted file.

  • Input and output: SRT and VTT.
  • Optional preview video uses the browser player only.

Shift all cues
Adds a constant offset in seconds to every cue.
Fix drift
Maps two cue start times to correct times and remaps the rest.

Does drift fix need ffmpeg?

No. Timing math runs on the cue list only.
