It feels good to be back.
Before getting into all of this, I stepped away for a few weeks.
Not completely, and not in a way where everything stopped, but enough to take a step back and actually focus on things outside of the screen. Part of that time went into writing this, putting the journey down in one place, organizing it, and trying to make sense of it in a way I hadn't before.
I also spent time working on lambda.guru, trying to separate some of the tools and ideas I've been building into something more structured and sustainable.
At the same time, things at home needed attention. A leak in the basement turned into electrical work, repairs, and a lot of time spent fixing things that couldn't be ignored. It wasn't anything complicated, just one of those situations where everything stacks up at once. By the end of it, my hands were sore and my fingers hurt, but it was real, and in a way, it felt good.
I also made time to be with my family in a way I haven't been as consistent with over the years. Not in big moments, just being present, without thinking about what needed to be built next or what I hadn't finished yet. That part mattered more than I expected.
Stepping away didn't solve everything, but it gave me enough space to think clearly again. To look at what I've been building, what's working, what isn't, and what I actually want to keep moving forward with.
So before starting from the beginning, this felt like the right place to pause, reset, and come back to it with a clearer head. This is where the playthrough begins.
If you want to follow along, see how the gameplay unfolds, and maybe take something from it for your own path, feel free to follow along as the next chapters play out.
